There's good news on the job front for us...well impending good news. It's been a year since all this started and it's been tough at times but at least I am lucky to have someone to go through all the crap with. It may not end up a perfect solution to our problems but I just want the Boy to do something he loves.
I was looking through my photos and deleting and trimming and though I would post some that mean a lot..they are not always the ones that get the attention on Flickr but they are the ones that sum up the last year for me. Whether it was decorating the front room,missing Dave when he was away for days at a time,the crazy winter storms or just being incredibly thankful for what we have...it was a rollercoaster year.

We have been searching for these Pictish standing stones for over a year. They're off the beaten track in a field and there's no sign post.
I made a small video....you can lsiten to it if tyou want to hear real live Karen.I haven't heard my voice since I moved here...I def have lost more of the American accent...hopefully one day I will get my real accent back again.

Here's what we have in the way of flowers so far...just spring bulbs and some lovely flowering bushes. The red tulip is our first...I am looking forward to the return of the 'Queen of the night' tulips and some lovely deep red dahlias we planted...latre in the summer...fingers crossed.
We ran out of window space so some of the seedlings had to go into the mini greenhouse.

As a present the world gave me blue skies and the boy gave me...well I cannot say as it's naughty! Oh and some fat birds...love them! Oh and a new bird feeder we have named the 'Death Star'...it's very Darth! Oh and Jezabel was happy to sit still for a minute during her busy day of sleeping so I could take pictures of her bits...now now naughty people!

No-one lives here anymore as the sea has washed away all the beach and the houses are on the edge. Some of the houses are used as holiday cottages but there is no road down so it's a treacherous walk. It's my kind of place.
